WASHINGTON—The U.S. and several other countries will tap their national strategic petroleum reserves, senior Biden administration officials said Tuesday, in an attempt to bring down rising gasoline prices that have become a big contributor to inflation.
Other countries participating in the release include China, India, Japan, South Korea and the U.K., the White House said.

Very sensible. Too much oil is being stored for too long. The oil was bought at much lower prices before Trumpian measures allowed the price gouging now being experienced by Americans. This will cost the US little and do a lot to improve inflation numbers.
If I’m OPEC I’m thinking the world depleting it’s reserves might end up working out well!
