U.S. crude futures up 5% ahead of OPEC+ meeting

U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude CLc1 rose to a high of $26.61 and was traded up 4.6%, or $1.16, at $26.25 as of 2206 GMT.

Isn't it against the law to manipulate prices ? How can a group of billionaires get together and say let's give the world less of our product so we can charge more money ? If a group of gas stations in a city set a price and all charge the same they call it price fixing.

It will take no more than 3 or 4 days. Because airplanes do not fly in the sky, there is no production, no consumption. Why should oil price rise?
