The United States on Friday closed lanes at select ports of entry at the border with Mexico and will conduct more secondary checks to limit non-essential travel and the spread of coronavirus, a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) official said.

Non-essential travel has been restricted at the border since March, but U.S. citizens and permanent residents can still enter the United States from Mexico. The new measures are aimed at those travelers, the CBP official said.

The United States leads the world with more than 174,000 confirmed deaths from the coronavirus, followed by Brazil with 112,000 and Mexico with 59,000, according to a Reuters tally. CBP said it would take steps to reduce non-essential travel at more than a dozen border crossings in Texas, Arizona and California. The wait times for passenger vehicles at those ports of entry on Friday evening ranged from no wait to several hours.

I know right? Mexico has done such a good job of controlling covid-19 because their leadership responded quickly to contain it and encourage a universal mask mandate. It's only fair America doe its part and prevent cross border contamination from head south!

Hahahahaha

chortle More like Mexico doesn't want U.S. residents entering Mexico...

The USA is 10 times more infected than Mexico

And I have an employee who doesn’t know I know she left the country...Monday will be fun....

By 'contain' do they mean keep it in the US? US cases per 1 million 17,500. Mexico cases per 1 million, 4,250

I figured it was about time Trumptard started warning about the caravans of rapists and drug dealers coming to invade America.

Safety first!

Trump MO. Slow shit down and bring a wrecking ball to the economy and decency.

Mexico crafts plan to help states reorganize debtMexico's government said late on Wednesday it had agreed a plan with national development bank Banobras to help restructure some debt among the federal states, which have felt the squeeze from a sharp recession during the coronavirus pandemic. I would love to see Mexico pull themselves up to a more developed and financially secure country. I was impressed by the article on trying to rid their children from eating junk food. For them to really start taking action on things like that really shows how far they have come If Trump get's elected again, a great plan in his opinion would be actually paying for the wall.

Activists Say This Pickup Artist Is Harassing Women in Mexico City to Promote His 'Seduction' BootcampAn Australian pickup artist going by the pseudonyms “Bradicus” and “Brad Hunter” specializes in YouTube videos showing him chatting up women, kissing them, and taking them back to his place. He travels the globe, everywhere from Brazil to Singapore to the United States, filming his purported attempts at picking up women in broad daylight—what he calls “daygame seduction.” Interspersed between on-the-street footage are montages of cuddling and make-outs, some filmed up-close by Bradicus himself and some shot at a distance in the style of undercover footage. Some women’s faces are shown, while others are blurred. All of these clips are in service of promoting his personal PUA brand and “Online Seduction” course, which promises to teach men “how to have HOT GIRLS delivered to your door daily” and runs as high as $697. this amish film major isn't seducing anybody Pretty sure I've seen an Law & Order SVU episode like this... sounds like a euphemism for 'rape den'

Mexico City, Struggling to Provide Clean Water, Tests a New MethodA nonprofit is installing 100,000 rainwater-harvesting systems in Mexico City. Could it be a model for other cities working to provide clean water to their inhabitants? This sounds like a cool idea, but if done too much, it reduces water flow in the creeks and rivers and will affect the groundwater situation. There are consequences to doing something like this. Not saying it's necessarily bad, if those issues are taken into account. But the US has laws against us collecting FUCKING RAINWATER WSJ is a disgusting looser! WSJ is a liar for dirty money from ccp!
