If the Trade War aims were to stall the market, create materials shortages, harm farmers and builders and otherwise create chaos in trade, then Yes, the aims were accomplished.

heard With China's already explicit aggression to the Western world, China can't be a trustworthy partner for trade deals anyway. The wrestling between the US and China is comprehensive. Trade being one of the battlegrounds only. Decoupling with China is a more reasonable option.
