Provide everything Ukraine needs to win, they're fighting a war that benefits every democracy on the planet, and many people in oppressed societies like Russia, Belarus and Chechnya.

Since Russia already said they will not negotiate with Ukraine, the US might as well find a way to deliver these jets to Ukraine. However, the US can't help Ukraine forever, and therefore a negotiated settlement is the only way to stop this war.

So they wouldn't participate in a swap that would have given Ukraine planes they already had training to fly and maintain, but now they say they're open to selling them other planes?
