Will Smith was “devastated” after he slapped Chris Rock at the Oscars, according to Tyler Perry — who was seen speaking with the actor moments after his infamous onstage meltdown.
Perry, 52, said he tried his best to “de-escalate” the situation at the March awards ceremony at Los Angeles’ Dolby Theatre. He said he believes Smith, 53, is still reflecting on his actions.“I think he is very much in reflection of trying to figure out what happened,” Perry said.
The rehabilitation tour is starting waaay too soon. As with Chappelle's incident, every stage attack from now on immediately brings Will Smith's slap - and subsequent behavior - right back into our memories - so Tyler Perry needs to think again.

Yeah ...all one had to do was watch Will dancing around at the after parties with his Oscar to know just how devastated he was..
He actually looked pretty smug after he slapped him. Perhaps he was devastated after he found out what the world thought of him slapping Chris Rock?
