Two teens and their grandparents are facing charges after Palmyra police say the teens caused thousands of dollars in damage in the village.

Palmyra , N.Y. —

The grandparents, Janet Heaven, 61, and Wanda Milner, 77, are the legal guardians of the teens. They were charged with second-degree endangering the welfare of a child for what police say was failing to exercise "reasonable diligence" in controlling the children. Heaven says she doesn't condone her granddaughter's behavior, but she finds her own arrest to be "horrible" and "embarrassing."She and Milner have been released with an appearance ticket since their arrest last month. They will return to Palmyra Village Court at a later date, while their grandchildren were referred to probation.

DiNardo is asking all parents to reach out to law enforcement if their children are breaking the law.
