The second system will bring rain to much of the East in the week ahead.A pair of storm systems will keep things on the wetter side before the Thanksgiving holiday.
The first of these storm systems is beginning to take shape in the Ohio Valley and Ozarks along a remnant frontal boundary.Light to moderate rain is expected from the Northeast to the mid-Atlantic and the Tennessee Valley. A few snow flurries may mix in across the interior northeast and south and east of the Great Lakes.
Rain will be most widespread on Thanksgiving Eve, stretching from the Great Lakes to the Gulf of Mexico.On the northern side, a few snow flurries are possible from Iowa and northern Michigan to northern New England. Temperatures may be warm enough in Iowa to keep snow from sticking.
