What this means is that many builds that automatically tried to race to Intellect 100 may be better off redistributing those points elsewhere now, possibly into Discipline where newly powerful, but slow-charging grenades could take advantage of that. I suppose we can see how it feels, but it does seem like with more combat-focused, not stat-focused regen at hand, it’s a pretty big nerf to Intellect in general, and it may not be the must-have it once was.
The nerf was put in place in order to make Hunters easier to pin down in PvP gunfights, but it’s a decently sized nerf for PvE content as well, as things like exploding Centurion balls or other projectiles will now track you through your dodge. Bungie realizes this is not ideal, and the dodge tracking issues will be separated so it’sthe case in PvP, not PvE, in a future patch. No date on that, but it may not be until Witch Queen, I would guess.
