Houston County Sheriff Donald Valenza is hoping lawmakers can make tougher laws to deter swatting calls.DOTHAN, Ala. - A Maryland teen is among two people charged with placing untrue calls reporting deadly shootings and other crimes, otherwise known as swatting, in early January.the arrests of 18-year-old Owen Jarboe of Hagerstown and a juvenile from North Carolina, with FBI agents making those arrests after multiple searches.
SWAT teams responded to the January calls. While Jarboe and the underage suspect currently face only federal charges, Valenza said Houston County charges are pending.
