Turning cloudy and windy Sunday ahead of Houston’s next chance of rain

Today it’s going to be breezy with strong south winds 10-20 mph and gusts up to 30 mph. Thanks to the cloudy conditions temperatures will be slightly cooler compared to yesterday.The winds come from the pressure gradient getting squeezed between high pressure to the east and low pressure to the west. There is a low chance for severe thunderstorms in Houston. The best chance for scattered strong to severe storms will be west of Harris County. Monday's severe threat is low for Houston. The best chance for scattered strong to severe storms is west of the city. The flood threat is east of Houston. Northeastern cities have a low threat for possibly street flooding and more hail.
