Turkey begins trial of 20 Saudis charged with the murder of Jamal Khashoggi

Istanbul The trial of 20 Saudi nationals charged with the murder of Jamal Khashoggi opened in an Istanbul courtroom on Friday, and his fiancée hopes the case will offer new clues to the whereabouts of the dissident journalist's remains.

The suspects named in the Turkish indictment are being tried in absentia. They include Ahmed al-Assiri, a former deputy head of Saudi Arabia's general intelligence, and Saud al-Qahtani, a former adviser to the Saudi Crown Prince. Both men are accused of"instigating premeditated torturous murder with monstrous intent." The remaining 18 defendants are being charged with"premeditated torturous murder with monstrous intent.

Where were Turkey last year when Saudi asked them to collaborate on the investigation of JK murder?

The reason of this trial is for attacking Saudi Arabia but in other ways however, people who involved in the murders will be punished by the Saudi judiciary

This trail is not acceptable in any way. And the people responsible of his death were brought to justice. Jamal’s family are satisfied with the decisions of the Saudi trail. End of the story

The judgments has been issued against the convicted already this means that there is attempts to politicize the case, and to divert the attention of public opinion from a criminal case to a political crime.
