Tunisia's health minister resigns after 11 babies die in hospital

TUNIS - Tunisia’s health minister Abdel-Raouf El-Sherif resigned on Saturday after 11 babies mysteriously died within 24 hours in a hospital in the capital, state news agency TAP said. The health ministry and state prosecutors have launched investigations into the cause of the babies’ death which was likely due to a blood infection, it said.

Tunisians have complained about a decline of state services since the overthrow of Zine El-Abidine Ben Ali in 2011 which has brought a democratic transition but also thrown the country into an economic crisis.Reporting by Hasham Hajali, Tarek Amara and Ulf Laessing; editing by Diane Craft

While UP CM continues to remain in the post even though more than 600 kids died in a hospital in his home town Gorakhpur.

I’m pained to see that Tunisia is governed by such fools, the Minister should have got the Doctors arrested and blamed for all these deaths. Guys Learn something from India.

in India 80 kids died in a day as liquid oxygen supply was stopped by vendor because gvmnt didn't paid for a long time..but police arrested a doctor who tried to save kids by arranging oxygen cylinders.

What was the need... Learn something from India.. here 1000s of children dies due to lack of oxygen and treating doctor is arrested. Matter over.
