“The first part of what we’re doing is just trying to tell that story transparently,” Chair of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre Centennial Commission Kevin Matthews says on the anniversary.

One century ago today, a white mob attacked "Black Wall Street" in one of the worst acts of racial violence in American history.

Democratic Oklahoma State Senator and Chair of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre Centennial Commission, Kevin Matthews, joined Stephanie Ruhle to discuss the anniversary and how the country is remembering the victims 100 years later.

And in this century's current events thousands of Black folks are murdered at the hands of other Black folks. In 2020 there was 8,600 Black homicides of which over 90% from other Blacks. What about these mascaraed victims & the growing numbers everyday?

The Biden Admin needs to appoint a commission to do an assessment of how many trillions $$ r owed to Black businesses, like those destroyed in Tulsa race massacres, & 4 dozen other pogroms of Black cmtys across America He should sign an executive order to start this immediately!

I have watch the documentary 1921 Black Wall Street Masacre all weekend & it’s extremely moving; I had read about it time ago, but watching the video brings it to life. This was real and it’s a part of History that cannot be erased. 🙏🏻💕🙏🏻💐
