Donald Trump won the annual Conservative Political Action Conference straw poll on Wednesday with 55% of attendees marking the embattled former president as their preferred choice to be the Republican party’s presidential nominee in 2024.Conservative Political Action Conference is being held on February 28, 2021 in Orlando, Florida.
Trump still polled the highest of all potential 2024 candidates, with 55% saying they want him to be the party’s next presidential nominee. Notably, the next highest-ranking picks have both been vocally supportive of the former president: Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis , who captured 21% of the vote, and South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem , who polled at 4%. All other candidates—aside from Noem, who had 11% support—polled in the single digits, including former Vice President Mike Pence , Trump’s children Don Jr. and Ivanka and Sens. Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley , who were some of the most vocal proponents of Trump’s false voter fraud claims.62%.
With 55% of this “conservative”group saying they would vote for him after seeing him in action for four years and over 30% saying they don’t want him to be the candidate in 2024, it does not look like rousing support.
Boooooooooooo!
Akụkọ
Which is 🦇💩
Interesting that racial equality didn't even make the list.
Clown show of ill repute!
Hasn’t the gop learned? Thousands like me left the party because of Trump. HE LOST IN 2020. Thousand more left after he incited an insurrection. You have less voters now. It’s mathematically impossible for him to win. Will he incite another insurrection?
So this is a poll from all trump supporters?
