I have no idea why Trump is waiting to take on DeSantis directly. If I am Trump today I would denounce DeSantis plan to take phones away from kids at schools as being a personal security risk to children's safety. Trump sitting back saying nothing is a huge political mistake.

In many ways DeSantis is more dangerous than Trump: his policies and politics are terrifyingly Draconian and he’s an experienced politician. Trump, at least, was largely inept. I do detest Trump, but I am honestly terrified of DeSantis as president.
