Chuck Canterbury is currently president of the national Fraternal Order of Police and has been a guest of the White House at a number of law enforcement events. ATF has been without a Senate-confirmed leader since Mr. Trump took office. Currently half of the 10 biggest federal law agencies lack permanent chiefs.

Mr. Canterbury has been the FOP’s president since 2003 and joined the group in the 1980s as a police officer in South Carolina, establishing a local lodge. A member of the South Carolina Law Enforcement Hall of Fame, he retired as a major in the Horry County, S.C., police department in 2004, according to the Fraternal Order of Police.

ATF is a critical player in combating gang violence and illegal firearms trafficking, which are priorities of the president. It is currently led by acting deputy director Reggie Lombardo. The agency employs about 2,600 special agents in 25 field divisions, according to the agency’s fiscal year 2018 fact sheet

May Mr. Canterbury be swiftly confirmed.

Hmmm...who could be obstructing justice?

No, I vote for the best. My son has rights too.

Lets ask the Dems!

What? Isn't Ollie North available?

Running out of “the best?”

TammyHuntley69 That’s a dictatorship

When you consider the incompetent, narcissistic, demagogic tub of bile warming the seat in the Oval Office, the nation really doesn't have a chief.

DEA has not had a confirmed Administrator for 5 YEARS.

The beauty of this factbis that for 99.99% of Americans NO ONE NOTICED. what f!ing organization in the world has 800 thousand non essential employees? This Administration is just demonstrating that point. Emphasis on non essential.

Shocker, criminal President doesn’t have law agencies properly staffed

Criminals don’t like staffing police forces.

The GOP is using their power to gut government & leave America weak & divided. Their end goal is kleptocratic fascism.

It’s called Communism

It's called consolidation of power. Trump wants to be a dictator.

it is by design that all those positions are vacant

ATF has been without a confirmed leader since President Trump took office. Currently half of his 10 biggest federal LawEnforcement agencies permanent chiefs other than the law and order president, himself.

How many chiefs have been nominated and are stuck in the senate process?

And that is the fault of the Dems stonewalling candidates.

Trump has taken over the judicial branch, now the Congress (Saudi's/wall/taxes). He has found a way to eliminate anything they do....he's going for it. He is a dictator in the making.

Why not take this opportunity to finally abolish the worthless and unconstitutional ATF. 2Amendment freedom

Trump's in charge. Don't you get it.

As Trump escalates China trade dispute, economic ties lose stabilizing force in matters of national securityTensions could extend beyond the trade sphere and impact other areas of contention between Washington and Beijing. Very true. It is not about no tariffs but to be strategic and timely. Trump is off these two principles by miles. Good faith was given to China reform and the hope is fading. Appearances point to continued escalation. We may in fact see a currency manipulator designation by USTreasury as soon as China's eventually counter-acts with currency policy. ooo.. itu tho akibatnya
