A since-fired Navy captain's plea for help with a coronavirus outbreak on his vessel "was terrible," President Donald Trump said Saturday.
"I thought it was terrible what he did, to write a letter. This isn't a class on literature. This is a captain of a massive ship that's nuclear-powered," Trump said.
This guy may have graduated from the Naval Academy and all, but what does it say about his command when his is the only ship in the United States Navy, at sea in the middle of a global pandemic as our Socialists friends will say, that has an infected crew. Shore leave in Vietnam

He has been in the Navy for awhile and should have known not to go public with the letter. It was also mentioned that his mistake was also stopping in Vietnam to expose his crew to the virus. It went on to say that he put the ship at risk.

The problem was out of channel communication that the ship was not mission ready due to illness which compromised mission and became a national security issue. Keeping it in house may not have solved immediate problem but did not threaten operational security.
