Trump may not have taken a salary as President, but his revenue from his business more than made up that cost over his four years in office

n April 2017, Press Secretary Sean Spicer took the podium in the White House briefing room and announced that the president was donating his first-quarter salary to the National Park Service. With a serious look on his face, Spicer pulled out an oversized check with an oversized signature. It was the first of several checks that Donald Trump signed while in office, handing over his $400,000 salary in exchange for good publicity.

The biggest portion of Trump’s revenue flowed through his clubs and golf properties, which generated approximately $940 million over four years. Trump National Doral, the golf resort in Miami, contributed roughly $270 million to that total. Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s club in Palm Beach, brought in about $90 million. A New Jersey golf club, where the former president has been spending time this summer, took in $60 million or so. Those top-line figures didn’t all end up in Trump’s pocket, however.

Clinton left office close to penniless (his words). He seems to be doing okay these days.

Purpose achieved! ✅💯

How did that compare to previous 4 years? I mean it’s not like he arrived there broke and became a millionaire like several DC Politicians have

You think he ran for public office because he's a patriot!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

What did his golf trips cost? The rich are very good at hiding their greed.

this is terrible news

Attorney general sets new limits for when the DOJ can seize reporters' recordsAttorney General Merrick Garland says the Justice Department will no longer use compulsory legal processes to seize information from people working in the news media who are acting “within the scope of their newsgathering activities” Okay, I admit to being a stupid rube. Tell me what specific 'records' were obtained by DOJ. And did the records contain sources? I don't get the part where DOJ will no longer investigate a journalist while conducting themselves within the scope of their work. That HAPPENED?! There should be a thousand lawsuits for this business. TuckerCarlson nprpolitics
