As The Post reported, Sens. Gary Peters, a Democrat from Michigan, and Ron Johnson, a Republican from Wisconsin, added a last-minute $10 billion loan to keep the postal service function in the short-term. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin had said lawmakers' plan to offer $13 billion in funding to the postal service could derail the entire package.
And they call themselves 'Conservatives', even 'Constitutionalists.' NEWSFLASH: The federal postal infrastructure goes back to our beginning as a country, it's mandated in Article 1 of our Constitution- the part that establishes the Legislative branch.

The real problem-in 2006, the law was passed requiring USPS to fund 75 yrs of pension benefits within 15 yrs. Not a sustainable business model! It isn’t so much the online retailers. Mnuchin & others should look back a few yrs for the real reason.
