In projects unrelated to the border, Fisher Sand & Gravel has dozens of environmental, tax and workplace violations dating back to 2000, according to aFisher Sand & Gravel has been fined 16 times by the Environmental Protection Agency over the last 20 years, paying more than $450,000.
Over the last decade, the company has been fined seven times for workplace health and safety violations in its facilities in New Mexico, Nevada, North Dakota and Montana. Those fines amounted to nearly $50,000.guilty to tax fraud in 2009 for using company money to pay for personal expenses, such as renovations to his personal residence and vacations. He was sentenced to 37 months in prison and is no longer associated with the company.
