The president repeated his longstanding criticism that Amazon and other internet retailers are to blame for the post office's problems.
Trump is right that the post office continues to lose billions of dollars per year, but its package delivery business actually helps it bring in money.is to blame for the U.S. Postal Service's demise. "Amazon and other companies like it, they come and they drop all of their mail into a post office," Trump said in an interview with "Fox & Friends." "They drop packages into the post office by the thousands and then they say, 'Here, you deliver them.' We lose $3 and $4 a package on average. We lose massive amounts of money."
The president was asked about concerns that the Trump administration is interfering with the post office in order to impact voting in the November presidential election. I actually googled the subject and it seems that the parcel boom has literally saved the USPS as we know it. The pension decision wasn’t well thought out and people aren’t using first class postage as much but rural areas rely on an affordable postal service. Privatization$?
If he actually was mad at Amazon he would be able to fix problems with dems by posing a tax on companies amazon and others that use the usps. Thefore he punishes amazon, money comes in for usps and congress moves again. Funny how he ISNT doing that.

Postal Service is not losing money because of Amazon. It’s losing money because in 2006, the Republican-led Congress passed a law forcing it to prepay its pensions for 75 years, which no other corporation does...Without this law, the Postal Service would be turning a profit.
