Trump argued that his plan to impose tariffs on Mexico has 'tremendous' support among the GOP voting base

President Donald Trump dismissed the chances of another rebuke from lawmakers in his own party — this time over tariffs slapped on Mexican imports — saying such an effort would be “foolish.”

. That's because in order to invoke trade powers under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, Trump may be required to declare a national emergency, allowing lawmakers to take a vote on blocking it.did just that Trump last week threatened the tariffs on Mexico if it did not significantly step up its efforts to block the flood of migrants entering the U.S. illegally, warning that the 5 percent figure would increase monthly, up to 25 percent, until the Mexican government had satisfied his requirements.

It does oh GREAT LEADER

There...I fixed it

Rush's 'Ditto Heads' have a new moron to blindly follow...

They and him respectfully.... ARE IDIOTS!!! They don’t get it, It hurts us as much as it hurts them! In some cases US MORE!

Honestly, he would say that even if they didn't.

All Americans want to pay higher prices for goods! Haha

He’s right. As usual

This is not about Mexico not doing enough to stop the flow of immigrants, is about Trump being able to tell his base, that Mexico finally paid for Trump’s wall though tariffs.

Which, of course, makes it the right thing to do.

......MEXICO IS COMING

No doubt! No explanation is necessary!

That is a bald-faced unsubstantiated claim, not an argument.

the most important thing is not gop base but the economy of u.s,

This is the most recent illustration of who is in charge. Trump blusters and dissembles. Meanwhile, Mitch McConnell and associates are running the government. Nothing Trump says has force, except to solidify followers who have some but little influence on what actually happens.

only those who do not stand upright.

5% tariffs on Mexico not a bad idea think of how many drugs come in through those products. It's more like 5% tax on drugs

Tariff = Trump Tax on the American people.

Such BS

And that's why he does it. Just to hold on to whatever supporter's he has left.

First, not true. Second, his simplistic ideas about how things work help no one and continue to make him look and sound foolish. If this ever dawned on him, he'd be mortified and furious and searching for others to blame.

...like the GOP voting base supports the China tariffs?

realDonaldTrump What a Brilliant President

Twitter needs a thumbs down button!!!!! Come on Twitter b brave and give us a dislike button!!!

Yes, his voters will take any way he dishes it out. That is what a cult is all about. Blind devotion to a wanna be GOD.

He’s got my vote

And we all know how discerning the GOTP voting class is/s.

He does not authorize his base to think any other way

Despite Trump administration denials, new evidence suggests census citizenship question was crafted to benefit white RepublicansAccidentally discovered files indicate that plans to add the citizenship question date to 2015 and then were pushed after Trump took office. What's the evidence to come to this conclusion? It does discriminate. It discriminate against non citizen. If that's your beef, say so. But this is a bridge too far. What? The trump administration would do such a thing Shocking!! every Afro American that support the Civil Rights Movement of the 60’s should be insulted. They are trying to use the rights we fought for to hide their hate. They have presented it to the Supreme Court as a measure to protect the voting rights act.

Stocks slump after Trump expands trade war to MexicoThe IRS has proposed an update to the Form W-4 that it says will increase its accuracy and reduce its complexity. But experts caution that it will feel different to employees and may prove a bit more difficult for some. Remember when Obama weaponized the IRS against conservatives Does anyone think he didn't weaponize intelligence agencies against a Presidential candidate wrong link In other words, the trump train wreck is making the stock market awfully painful right now for investors, but now is a spectacular time to buy stocks bc they are less pricey. **cough NBEV cough**
