President Trump telephoned South Korean President Moon Jae-in on Tuesday to ask if South Korea could send medical equipment to the U.S. to help combat the coronavirus, according to a statement from Seoul’s presidential Blue House.
South Korean officials didn’t specify what equipment Mr. Trump had sought. The White House in a statement acknowledged the call between the two leaders, saying they spoke about the coronavirus epidemic. The White House didn’t respond to questions about the U.S. request for supplies.
