that turned asylum-seekers away in the name of public health, which takes effect in May.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection is already in charge of inspections; Abbott's order just doubled the effort.Dante L. Galeazzi, CEO and president of the Texas International Produce Association, wrote in ato Abbott that his policy "has wreaked havoc up and down our supply chain and is likely to leave state store shelves with limited fresh produce supplies."

"Border security is an important element of this region, but so is the trade that keeps millions of Texans employed. According to a study from Texas A&M, fresh produce arriving from Mexico not only employs nearly 8,000 Texans but is also responsible for $850M in economic impact to the state," Galeazzi wrote.Truckers are waiting over a day in their cars, in high temperatures, to bring goods into the U.S.

The truckers can remember that when they vote in the upcoming election

Are you sure they were protesting Governor Abbott's new rules? Maybe they were supporting Abbott by closeing the boarder.

Do you remember when trump renegotiated the North American free trade agreement yeah he did the same thing between US and Canada and renegotiated trade agreement between the US and China how's that working out for us that's the art of the deal. Wake up democrats.

Abbott causing supply chain issues for Americans, not securing the border. See why...

Mexican truck drivers block major US-Mexico point of entry in protest of Texas border inspectionsCommercial traffic at Pharr-Reynosa International Bridge -- a major port of entry for the US-Mexico border that handles both commercial and passenger vehicles -- is 'halted temporarily' due to an ongoing protest on the Mexican side of the border and there are 'no southbound movements by US carriers,' a US Customs and Border Protection official confirmed to CNN Monday. So, if I am to understand this, once a truck passes through US Customs, it has to stop again for a Texas Highway department inspection? Wouldn’t this be considered illegal? Isn’t this interfering with intrastate shipping? Are you sure that it’s Texas who’s wrecking havoc at the border?
