Troy safety Keyshawn Swanson enters transfer portal

Jon Johnson One of Troy’s top returning defensive players – strong safety Keyshawn Swanson – announced on his X social media account Wednesday afternoon that he is entering the transfer portal.

As a junior this past season, Swanson recorded 27 solo tackles and 20 assists and was expected to be one of the leaders on defense for the Trojans this coming season. Swanson wrote: “First and foremast, I would like to thank God because without him I am nothing. I am thankful for Troy University for the opportunity and lifelong relationship I made along the way. I appreciate every coach that has poured into me and positively impacted me as a player. To my teammates, your love and support will always remain with me. Troy University will always have a place in my heart.
