A teenager was killed in an ATV crash in Scioto County A teen died on Tuesday after an All-Terrain Vehicle crash in West Portsmouth, police said.
The Portsmouth Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said in a news release it received a call of a one-vehicle crash involving an ATV at 8:44 p.m.Police responded to the scene on Slab Run Road near Hudson Street following a crash that caused the ejection of Trevor Matthews, 17, from the ATV, troopers said. Matthews struck the roadway and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
"The crash remains under investigation at this time and alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash," Troopers said in a news release.
