Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin on Thursday agreed that the World Bank should expel China from a supportive loan program.

Asked by U.S. Republican Rep. Anthony Gonzalez whether he'd support graduating Beijing from select World Bank lending, Mnuchin replied "I do."

"China claims that it wants to be seen as an equal to the U.S. in the global economy. If that's the case, it needs to step up," former U.S. trade advisor Clete Willems says. Asked by U.S. Republican Rep. Anthony Gonzalez whether he'd support graduating Beijing from the lending program, Mnuchin replied "I do."

Mnuchin added that the selection of former Treasury Undersecretary David Malpass as the World Bank's president earlier this year gives him confidence the institution will revise its practices to make its lending more equitable.

Wall Street should be very careful because one thing Republicans and Democrats seem to agree on is China is becoming a major problem.

TERRIFYING: China has largely taken over staff positions at World Bank, redefining itself as a 'developing nation' forever, and sucking off $1-6Billion in US TAXPAYER GUARANTEED Loans every year. They renege on payment, and the US crashes. GET OUT FAST.
