WASHINGTON—Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin rejected House Democrats’ request for President Trump’s tax returns on Monday, contending that lawmakers were trying to expose details of the president’s finances rather than conducting legitimate legislative oversight.
The move, which Mr. Mnuchin had signaled for weeks, will likely send the dispute between the executive and legislative branches into federal court. Judges may take months or years to resolve the legal question about the boundaries of congressional investigations....
Trump’s tax returns should have been scrutinized during his candidacy. He has conflicts of interest with Isreal, Oil companies, etc.

There is no law that say a President must release his tax returns. This is more presidentialharassment and more WitchHunt by the loons on the left. He has been audited every year of his business life. If he did anything wrong it would have been caught by now.
Tax returns are confidential documents. No one except the IRS and the individual have the right to see them. Business deals often require nondisclosure agreements to protect information crucial to the success of the venture. Deals could be ruined if tax forms are publicized.
