The nurse, who was not named, is accused of setting a full-time employee of Hackensack University Medical Center on fire in a staff break room, Ben Goldstein, the public relations director for the healthcare group, said in a statement. The nurse then left the hospital and fled by car, Goldstein said.
There were no witnesses to the attack, and the motivation is unclear, Goldstein said. Additional security has been posted around the hospital on Monday.
