Director Josh Cooley has finally revealed the Transformers One runtime for the forthcoming animated prequel.

According to director Josh Cooley, Transformers One will only have a total running time of 90 minutes or an hour and 30 minutes. The film is currently slated to debut in theaters on Friday, September 20.During a recent interview, Cooley admitted that he had to cut out several scenes from Transformers One, including a Gladiator sequence involving Megatron.

“If we had all the time in the world, it would’ve been fun to show Megatron as a gladiator and have the two characters come from very different backgrounds,” Cooley said toDescribed as the first-ever fully CG-animated Transformers movie, the prequel is directed by Cooley from a screenplay written by Andrew Barer, Steve Desmond, Gabriel Ferrari, and Michael Sherman.
