The October 2022 crash killed a husband, father and former volunteer firefighter in Lancaster County.

A tractor-trailer driver admitted to running a red light just before an October 2022 crash that killed a driver at a Lancaster County intersection, police said in court documents.

Schilling, 42, of Red Lion, was charged on Tuesday with vehicular homicide and involuntary manslaughter in connection to the 2022 crash that killed Brian Allison, 51, of Willow Street, who was driving a passenger vehicle. Schilling reported the crash at about 12:52 a.m. About 10 minutes after telling dispatchers that he ran the light, he told police, “I’m pretty sure was green,” according to an affidavit of probable cause.

Dash camera footage from Schilling’s tractor-trailer showed a steady red light as he drove west into the intersection at about 32 mph, the affidavit said. Allison’s direction of travel was not confirmed in court documents.
