Toyota did not release U.S. specifications for the 2023 Prius models, but the vehicles are noticeably different in styling than the current versions. The exterior is sportier, less quirky and appears to be more aerodynamic. But the overall silhouette is still recognizable as a Prius. Simon Humphries, Toyota senior manager of design, didn't shy away from recent criticism about the company's ongoing plans to develop hybrids alongside battery-electric vehicles, or BEVs, and other potential technologies.

Its not strategy, its reality. Toyota is so far back with their supply chain these days, there is no point in introducing an EV Prius. They wont be able to produce one in time.

What’s the skepticism based on? The lack of lithium and cobalt on the workd to make batteries? Or that they blow up w/o warning? Tiny details that will be worked out.
