French energy giant Total SA's planned acquisition of U.S. firm Anadarko&#0...

WASHINGTON - French energy giant Total SA’s planned acquisition of U.S. firm Anadarko’s African assets is “perfectly fitting” with the company’s overall strategy and helps play to its strengths, Chief Executive Patrick Pouyanne said on Thursday.

The deal is contingent on the wider, $38 billion proposed takeover of Anadarko Petroleum Corp by Occidental Petroleum Corp, which last month outmaneuvered rival Chevron, the No. 2 U.S. oil producer, which had also bid for Anadarko. Pouyanne’s move to buy Anadarko’s assets, the French firm’s biggest acquisition since taking over Elf almost two decades ago, will bolster his effort to refocus Total on operations in Africa, the North Sea, deep offshore and liquefied natural gas.

Total Weirdo Spends Mother’s Day At CemeteryST. MARYS, OH—Apparently content to hang around dead people rather than celebrate like a normal person, area weirdo John Mills spent most of Mother’s Day at a local cemetery, creeped-out sources confirmed. “This is your mom’s special day, and you’re supposed to be taking her to brunch or a spa, not staring at some tombstone,” reported the sources, adding that lurking in a graveyard like some sort of ghoul may in fact be the very worst way to honor the woman who gave you life. “Is it too hard to do something nice for your mother just once a year? Then again, with that miserable look on his face, I bet his mom’s happy he forgot all about her.” At press time, sources reported that the freak had tossed some flowers on the ground that would’ve looked so much nicer in a vase in his mother’s home. . ... and she's not even dead, yet. Recapturing what never was.

7-Eleven in Indonesia was popular — but that didn't save it from total failure7-Eleven in Indonesia was not like it is in the United States. The convenience store became a trendy hangout spot for consumers, providing them with free Wi-Fi and a seating area to relax. The stores were popular among Indonesian consumers, but that couldn't save the chain from shuttering all its locations there in 2017. Because they’re not making money 7-eleven lowered the ATM limit to $200 so they can charge you three times to reach your daily limit cash withdraw. I get it free so fck them.
