Trump has publicly committed to picking a woman, with appeals court judges Amy Coney Barrett and Barbara Lagoa reportedly atop the list.

Trump called Barrett “very highly respected” on Saturday, and said of Eleventh Circuit Judge Barbara Lagoa – another top contender – “She’s an extraordinary person… She’s Hispanic and highly respected. Miami. Highly respected.”

Barrett, a devout Catholic and vocal opponent of abortion, has a slim judicial record, having only served as a federal judge since 2017, while Lagoa, a Cuban American from the battleground state of Florida, has served as a judge since 2006, though her conservative and anti-abortion credentials have been"President Trump’s nominee will receive a vote on the floor of the United States Senate,” McConnell said in a44.

after very little deliberation brokers decided he had zero chance 2 be confirmed.

Does that mean because he's not a woman? Just a cry baby?

I guess he did not want to do the surgery to become a woman.

Who said he was even in contention for the seat? He’s a joke

Support Barrett to become Supreme Court Judge because she is good supporter of anti abortion movement in the World. If One not admits to declare 'as a father of child who will be born' though A mother doesn't agree to abortion. Barrett having a good ideas will be in Supreme Court

His name is actually Mr Cotton I've seen it all

Yeah, right. I took myself out of consideration as well.

Darn

There's no unwritten law that says that it can only be done on off-years. That's not in the Constitution text.' Democrats should be already thinking about every senate procedure, every rule, every loophole to block this nomination, they´ll get the support of the whole country... but Schumer, Schiff etc. fighting fiercely? C´mon... Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg just passed. For many Americans, the death was so troubling that “No. No. No.” trended on Twitter But for Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA), the death was apparently an opportunity to raise campaign cash, according to Iowa Starting Line Vote Theresa Greenfield
