Sen. Tim Scott said Monday morning that President Donald Trump has two main threats to his reelection campaign: Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders.host Gayle King asked Scott if he thought the Democratic frontrunner Sanders was in fact the biggest threat to Trump in November.“I would say that the biggest threat to President Trump is President Trump,” Scott said. “If he’s on his game, as he was at the State of the Union, I don’t think there’s a candidate in the country that can beat him.
The comments from Scott seemed to echo a statement Trump made earlier Monday to reporters while on his trip to India. “I actually think he would be tougher than most of the other candidates because he is like me but I have a much bigger base,” Trump said of Sanders. Asked who the easiest candidate for Trump to beat in the general election, Scott offered former New York Mayor Mike Bloomberg.
“He has so many challenging headlines,” Scott said. “The narratives for, as the president calls him, ‘Little Mike’ would be easy for President Trump to take a strong advantage.” Scott’s comments come on the eve of the South Carolina Democratic debate and six days ahead of the South Carolina primary, the last before Super Tuesday.
You are so right.. Sit back and let trump talk
SenatorTimScott is just following the trumpf party line. Trumpf's Senate repub enablers think that boosting BernieSanders will help trumpf get re-elected.
...and the GOP that’s got him right where they want him.
Hmm - If I don't vote for Trump Bernie is a close substitute - that makes no sense nowhere
Trump’s number one threat is the FakeNewsMedia 🙄
So basically he saying, 'dont be yourself'
I did not know Tim was in Forrest Gump
Politico is just another propaganda arm of the Democrat party. If they believe something will benefit the Democrats they will write it.
But centrists and corporate media want you to believe that Trump wants to face Sanders 🙄
“If [Trump's] on his game, as he was at the State of the Union, I don’t think there’s a candidate in the country that can beat him,' Scott said, although adding that Sanders 'brings that outside game in a similar fashion that President Trump did in 2016”
Follow up question, 'How long have you been coordinating campaign messaging with Trump and Moscow?'
He's saying that because he wants to be seriously considered in 2024 duh and he knows its not true at all - thats how awful a candidate Bernie is in the general
