Trump has issued two executive orders against TikTok, one on August 6 which blocks any U.S. based transactions with ByteDance 45-days after the order, and another on August 14 that gave ByteDance 90 days to divest TikTok’s operations in the U.S. ByteDance’s legal challenge reportedly does not affect its ongoing talks to divest TikTok’s U.S. operations, for which it is in talks with the likes of Microsoft and Oracle.
