TikTok is the subject of a new class-action lawsuit that accuses the video-sharing app of failing to protect children.

The video-sharing app previously settled a child-privacy complaint brought by the Federal Trade Commission.

"Defendants have not made whole the millions of consumers harmed by their unlawful conduct," the complaint reads. "Accordingly, Plaintiffs bring this class action for relief.” “Because the App had virtually all privacy features disabled by default, there were serious ramifications, including reports of adults trying to contact minor children via the App,” the complaint reads.

It should be time to parent. This is a parent problem not an app problem. As a Tik Toker I can attest to it being way inappropriate for children. WHY ARENT PARENTS MONITORING THEIR KIDS? It clearly states 13 but there are 10 year olds entering lives and sending gifts.

アメリカの人らはTikTokの危険性理解してるのか日本は特に若い世代全然気にしてなくそもそもプライバシーとかどうでもいいって感じ ちなみに日本ではこのアプリ 黒歴史製造アプリ と言われたりしてます笑笑

It’s about time they do something

Everyone should delete their TicToc account.

Hatebase's service helps TikTok and other companies battle hate speech - Business InsiderWith hate speech becoming more difficult to tackle, this startup has created an AI-powered service to help businesses including TikTok flag offensive content I don’t get how this is supposed to help. The reason why it’s “difficult to tackle” is because people can’t agree what should and shouldn’t be offensive. An AI program is still designed by people, therefore it’s still a person that’s determining what’s offensive
