Three women who underwent"vampire facials" at a New Mexico spa have reportedly contracted HIV. This is the first case of HIV to come from cosmetic injections, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention . The vampire facial technique became popular after Kim Kardashian underwent the procedure. The cosmetic treatment involves extracting a small amount of blood and separating the platelet-rich plasma before application.
