While COVID-19 is not the first pandemic traced back to eating animals, it is the first to coincide with the rise of alternative proteins.

COVID-19 has had far-reaching effects on almost every aspect of our lives and caused society to reflect on what we can do differently, even in how we source and consume our food. And that's not surprising: Food is deeply personal, from what we eat to when and how we consume it. Food has the power to connect us with friends, loved ones and even our ancestors.

I was born in Texas and am Mexican by heritage. Growing up on both sides of the border, I ate barbeque on Sundays like every good Texan and two eggs for breakfast each morning like every good Mexican. As opposed to physical wellness, comfort food prioritizes mental wellness. The majority of individuals (

GOP governors endanger children by playing politics with Covid-19Nine states run by Republican governors have a ban on mask mandates in schools, even though the coronavirus delta variant is a severe threat to unvaccinated populations. Former Congressman Beto O’Rourke has three children in school – one who is too young for the vaccine. “Until we see some real leadership from our governor, we have hundreds of thousands of children across the state of Texas who are unnecessarily in harm’s way right now,” he says. We need more Republican Governors!!!!! And they can be held liable for deaths and hospitalizations of children…guess they’re willing to risk a gazillion lawsuits Make me understand why the Federal Government can’t make masks a requirement to attend school during Covid outbreaks. When no child can register for school unless the parents provide updated Shot Records? Just like measles and chicken pox Covid is contagious and can kill🙏🏾🇺🇸🌍😷
