Floods hit Midland County, the site of The Dow Chemical Company’s headquarters.

Midland County 911 issued a statement around 5:45 p.m. Tuesday that the Edenville DamOn Wednesday, the river rose to over 34.

7 feet in Midland —Over the past few days, a slow-moving storm has plagued central Michigan, bringing flood warnings across the area and pushing rivers there into major flood stage.headquarters, with the company saying it has “implemented its flood preparedness plan which includes the safe shutdown of operating units on site.”until Wednesday evening, with a projected crest of 38 feet.

This is my hometown where my entire family lives. I couldn’t sleep last night because I was worrying about how safe they were and whether there would be any environmental impact from Dow. It’s devastating.
