A huge water main break in Nutley, N.J. has finally been capped, four days after it started gushing. On Sunday night, thousands of residents were still dealing with water issues.

On Sunday night, thousands of residentsBoth the towns of Montclair and Glen Ridge have declared a state of emergency. Residents are being told to stop all non-essential water use, like watering lawns or washing cars, because of a drop in the water supply.Montclair Mayor Sean Spiller said additional water is being pumped in from neighboring communities, but he warns it may not be enough to avoid a crisis.

"If any of the things we are trying to do fail, the outcome will likely be a loss of water pressure, resulting in a low pressure, boil water scenario, a non-drinkable water declaration, even despite boiling water, or no water at all coming our of the pipes in your homes and businesses," Spiller said.
