Joshua BoteThe adorable 2-year-old bulldog Thor has found himself plenty of new fans – canine and human – after winning Best in Show at 2019's National Dog Show.
Beating out nearly 2,000 other canines from 194 breeds and varieties, the auburn-and-white Thor – whose official show name is GCHG Diamond Gold Majesu Pisko Bulls – was an unlikely victor Thursday, winning over the Westminster Kennel Club's No. 1 ranking dog : a Havanese named Bono. After winning in the non-sporting group, he beat out Bono, along with an Old English Sheepdog, a Golden Retriever, a Pharaoh Hound, a Siberian Husky and a Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier.
An absolute unit of a good boy at 60 pounds, he's become both a dog to watch in the competitive dog world – and a favorite among casual viewers watching at home."He moves like a dream, and the outline is beautiful. I love this dog," he added with a laugh. Thor, Carillo said in the broadcast, was a world traveler. He was born in Peru and now lives in Houston, Texas, with his owner Kara Gordon but recently moved from Midland, Michigan. When he's not competing, Gordon told InStyle, he naps and sniffs everything.
