Patti Sapone | NJ Advance MediaYes, New Jersey, there is a Central Jersey, and it deserves attention — at least according to a new proposed state tourism law that juts into one of the Garden State’s greatest debates.
In a state known for heated arguments — It’s pork roll! No, it’s Taylor Ham! — few draw such a fervent response as the one over whether Central Jersey exists and, if so, what its boundaries are. No efs were given this day👍🏼
Oh please don't promote us, particularly Somerset County. It's peaceful and bucolic and really doesn't need to be overrun with any more hikers, bikers, apple pickers or leaf peepers. I hear the shore is nice, go there.
If there is a Central Jersey it’s insignificant at best
This is what the legislature thinks is important to this state what a joke ! Vote them all out
It exists. & Is the best part of the Garden State..
Webster's Dictionary clearly agrees; plus, I grew up in Central Jersey & we laughed at the geographically challenged.
I think it would be cool to a have a live debate on this…it could be a fundraiser for a good cause in the state. The people of NJ need this settled! (Although, it ultimately won’t be b/c people have their opinions. Lol)
I always considered my county (Union) as “Central Jersey”
Central Jersey is what’s between 78 and 195. End of discussion. No legislative action necessary.
Having solved all other pressing problems in NJ, the legislature turns its focus onto the really hard topics like 'does Central NJ exist?' 🙄
Good thing our legislature has prioritized this over investigating GovMurphy’s pandemic response that led to 9000+ LTC deaths, millions in settlements to date, and 1/3rd of all small businesses closing for good.
Central Jersey is ABSOLUTELY real, but it doesn't need to be promoted (unless you're just talking about individual business or attractions). IYKYK
