One of AIA Award-winning architect Lynne Breslin’s most courageous and challenging projects was designing a home for herself in the, is known for her boundary-pushing homes in the Hamptons, New York City, New Jersey, and San Francisco, each built with what she calls “enthusiastic creativity.” Having worked for a Pritzker Prize-winning architect in Japan after grad school, she incorporates much of what she learned then into her work now.
“She wanted to create a very calm, serene, and modern home,” says listing agent Cindy Shea of Sotheby’s International Realty, Bridgehampton Brokerage. “The entire property has a feeling of tranquility and grace.”The minimalist aesthetic is characterized by high ceilings, white walls, and light maple wood floors. Each room feels like it’s floating, no matter which floor you’re on. The foyer has Venetian polished plaster and connects to the open-plan great room.
