Porto Portugal’s second largest city, three-hours north of Lisbon is Porto. Situated on the Douro River, this is the port wine making region of the country. Lagos A few hours south of Lisbon is the Algarve region with some of the warmest weather in the country. Beautiful place indeed, but would be really difficult to live there if you’re not mobile - lots of stairs and steep slopes so not wheelchair friendly for sure, and in most of these places walking is the primary means of getting around
