The king cakes at Great Harvest are made in-house daily from scratch using a traditional Louisiana recipe, says owner Heidi Roark.“Some people describe them as being similar to cinnamon rolls, but there’s really no comparison. It’s so much better than a cinnamon roll, and there’s a uniqueness to a king cake that’s really unlike anything else.”
