May will remain as U.K. prime minister until a successor is chosen.

Theresa May officially resigned as Conservative Party leader on Friday. Her deal to leave the EU, which has failed to win U.K. parliamentary support, remains the only plan agreed with Brussels.

"The Withdrawal Agreement is not Teresa's personal property, it stays in place" said Brexit Programme Director at the Institute for Government, Jill Rutter in a phone call to CNBC Wednesday. Just last week, Jean-Claude Juncker revealed that he was "crystal clear" with Mrs May that "there will be no renegotiation."

As they rally support for their campaigns, Conservative prime minster candidates have been circling around three options: Ignore the Withdrawal Agreement, renegotiate it, or ask parliament again to ratify it unchanged.

Only 5? You need to pay more attention folks. Very sad because the Brixit process should have allowed for more time to untangle the thousands of documents that had to be ratified as part of BREXIT. The biggest blunder was to take the PM job after someone else fucked it up.
