were taking advantage of the sunshine and cool breeze Saturday on Indy's near northeast side — some of them unaware that their neighbor had been shot and killed earlier that same day.

"It makes me very sad, very sad. That block down there has always been quiet,” said Audra Rowan, a neighbor. The victims’ next-door neighbors told 13news that the victim was a good person and a great neighbor, and they were shocked someone would want to hurt them. “I’m sad for the family. I’m sad for the victim, the person. I hope whoever did it they get caught, or whatever but it makes me very sad,” Rowan said.

Just a few hours after that shooting, there was another shooting on Indy's south side on Siear Drive. This time police say they found a man who was shot and killed at an apartment complex around 3 a.m. IMPD said officers detained two people believed to be involved in this shooting, but both individuals were released pending further investigation. “There’s always going to be sunshine.
