There's still about $130 billion left in the PPP pot. Why have small businesses been slow to claim the cash?

The rules now give owners up to 24 weeks to use their loan proceeds and allow for forgiveness if at least 60% of the funding goes toward payroll expenses."Clients are more concerned about how they can use the money to make sure they satisfy the forgiveness requirements," said Campo. "'How do I use it so I have it forgiven?' is the primary question, and the goal posts keep moving.

Currently, recipients can't take a second infusion of cash from the loan program, although there's some legislation in the works to further extend the lifeline for some businesses., which is backed by Sens. Ben Cardin, D-Md.; Chris Coons, D-Del.; and Jeanne Shaheen, D-N.H, would allow an additional PPP loan for small businesses with 100 employees or less, including sole proprietorships and the self-employed.

Primarily because the uncertainty with regard to final accounting will determine loan vs grant and these are not corporate owners who can easily walk away from debt without risking personal assets.

Business owners with personal pride and respect who don't want a hand out just the FREEDOM to do business. There was NO zombie apocalypse. It was all a LIE. Fuck WHO, CDC, Fauci, Birx, Gates etc. And, of course, Fake News Media.

Because the loan process is controlled by major banks.

Different phases of opening. Trump admin just added length to the PPP so that if your state was still locked down and you had a PPP that expires, you received an extension.

Because we're getting turned down. They're giving it to companies that just IPO'd and are losing billions of dollars each quarter but small businesses are to much of a risk.

That's what we hear, and that would be sad. Basic problem is we don't know where any of it actually went. Shhhhhh, it's a secret. Infuriating at best.

we are in progress of setting up a failing business so we can claim it - when does it expire?

As far as we know, maybe you have to get access to Mnuchin and Kushner, and then demonstrate loyalty to Trump. There's no tranaparency.

And yet the Dems are screaming for more. Wonder why? 🤔

Because they have pride.
